The carvings, primarily Buddhist but also incorporating Taoist and Confucian themes, offer a rich depiction of religious beliefs and everyday life during the Tang and Song dynasties. This visually stunning performance, which can feature up to 10 mask changes in 20 seconds, uses colorful masks to express different emotions and characters.

Chengdu Huanglongxi Ancient Town – Boat Tour Of Leshan Giant Buddha – Chengdu.
