Early morning visiting the Cai Rang Floating Market, you will see thousands of small boats full of agricultural products. It’s said to be a fruit-market of the southern part and the market is cultural identity of the Mekong Delta. Boats loaded with produce from nearby orchards of the Mekong Delta converge to the floating market. The main items sold there are farm products and specialties of Cai Rang town.

Being considered as a pearl in the mouth of a dragon, Son islet is one of an attractive eco-tourism destination its serene setting, fresh air, fruit orchards, floating houses, and delicious traditional southern cakes made by locals. Visit the floating fish farm with a large number of fishes such as catfish, feather-back fish, carp (Koi fish)… and special kinds of fish that can be hardly found in other places such as Red snapper, Fire eel, Redtail catfish, Tigerfish,… Have a look at “flying snake-head fish” and enjoy how people raise fish right under their floating market.
