Day 01: Saigon – My Tho – Bao Dinh natural canal – Tortoise island – Tan Thach natural canal – Ben Tre – Thoi Son island – Can Tho – Victoria hotel
Pick up at your hotel. Depart for My Tho. Take a boat ride through the Bao Dinh natural canal, which is lined with stilt houses and fruit plantations. Proceed to Tortoise island and enjoy lunch served in the heart of the orchard. Enjoy a leisurely boat ride through the Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadows of the water coconut trees. Trek through the fruit plantations on Thoi Son island and enjoy a rowing boat ride along the creeks before returning to My Tho by motor boat. Continue to Can Tho. Day 02: Cai Rang Floating Market – Son Islet – Binh Thuy ancient house
Early morning visiting the Cai Rang Floating Market, you will see thousands of small boats full of agricultural products. It’s said to be a fruit-market of the southern part and the market is cultural identity of the Mekong Delta. Boats loaded with produce from nearby orchards of the Mekong Delta converge to the floating market. The main items sold there are farm products and specialties of Cai Rang town. Discover the local’s lifestyle on the picturesque on Son Islet. Being considered as a pearl in the mouth of a dragon, Son islet is one of an attractive eco-tourism destination its serene setting, fresh air, fruit orchards, floating houses, and delicious traditional southern cakes made by locals. Visit the floating fish farm with a large number of fishes such as catfish, feather-back fish, carp (Koi fish)… and special kinds of fish that can be hardly found in other places such as Red snapper, Fire eel, Redtail catfish, Tigerfish,… have a look at “flying snake-head fish” and enjoy how people raise fish right under their floating market. Take a short walk under green shades of fruit trees and on the rural paths to visit the fruits orchards to taste some delicious one, freshly picked from the tree, and learn more about the agriculture in Mekong Delta. Day 03: Ca Mau – Soc Trang – Ma Toc Pagoda (Doi Pagoda) – Bac Lieu – Cong Tu Bac Lieu House – Cao Van Lau souvenir art gallery – Tac Say Church
Depart to Ca Mau. On the way, stop at Soc Trang to visit Ma Toc Pagoda (Doi Pagoda) – built more than 400 years ago and is home to thousands of large and small bats. Come to Bac Lieu to visit Cong Tu Bac Lieu House – the Prince of Bac Lieu House – this house was built in 1919, designed by a French engineer and the all incorporated materials were brought from France. Continue journey to visit the souvenir art gallery of the South traditional folk songs and musician Cao Van Lau – a generalization of the life, career of the musician Cao Van Lau, for recognition of merit and praise of his great contributions to the South traditional folk songs and he is person who wrote the famous Da Co Hoai Lang, a precursor of the old song on the stage today. Day 04: Rung Duoc Nam Can (Mangrove Forest Base) – Ca Mau cape – Rach Gia
Take a canoe to explore Rung Duoc Nam Can (Mangrove Forest Base). The natural scenery full of mangrove forests of birds, wild animals, and fishes gives Ca Mau a very distinctive beauty. Ca Mau cape is the Southernmost location with the last milestone of Vietnam mainland. After having photos taken, standing by milestone 0 you can contemplate the forest and sea swelling in the distance & feel the heat mixed with the salty air. Morning depart to visit Chau Doc downtown with the traditional Trading Market. Stop to visit famous Mieu Ba Chua Xu. Continue to take the cruise to visit Tra Su forest with more than 70 types of birds make their home in the Tra Su Cajuput Forest. This is the perfect place to immerse you in nature, cruise the flooded forest on a Tac Rang (motorised sampan) and learn about the biodiversity of the region.
