Itinerary

Day 01: Los Angeles

Depart from Los Angeles airport in the morning.

Day 02: Kunming

Kunming, known in China as the City of Eternal Spring, with a history that dates back more than 1,300 years, it offers tranquil lakes and some striking temples, including the Golden Temple and those found at Dragon Gate scenic area.

Day 03: Kunming - Stone Forest - Kunming

Enjoy your own time in the morning. Afternoon visit Stone Forest, is one of the most spectacular karst landscapesand also one of the the must-see attractions in Kunming. This is a place with massive natural rocks protruding from the ground. It is a great place to admire nature. This UNESCO-listed natural landmark in Yunnan is known for the majestic and rugged landscape of various-shaped limestone pillars and the unique Yi ethnic culture. (B/D)

Day 04: Kunming - Dali

After a delicious gourmet breakfast, depart to Dali to visit Chongsheng Three Pagodas, which was a royal temple, the symbolic building of Dali, was first built in the time of Nanzhao Kingdom and Dali Kingdom in 10th century. . Visit Dali Ancient City, first built in Ming Dynasty, is a historic town with rich culture. It is also the ancient capital of Nanzhao Kingdom and Dali Kingdom. Now, it is the treasure land of Bai ethnic minority showing their traditions and culture, and stroll at Foreigner Street. (B/L/D)

Day 05: Dali - Lijiang

Morning drive to Lijiang, a wonderful city of Yunnan, has a history of at least 800 years could date back to the Song Dynasty. It’s one of the most famous old towns in China. On the way stop to visit Erhai Lake, is one of the most beautiful lakes in China. Feel the wind, enjoy the flowery meadows and rice fields. Visit Xizhou Ancient Town, is one of the birthplaces of Dali culture. It was called “Dali City” in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Continue to Shaxi old town was rated as the most beautiful town in China. (B/L/D)

Day 06: Lijiang - Jade Dragon Park - Blue Moon Valley - Lijiang Ancient Town

Morning visit the Yulong (Jade Dragon) Snow Mountain National Scenery Spot (including the Glacier Park ropeway), known as the “Switzerland of the Orient”. Take the cable car up to the mountain, overlooking the spruce, meadows, pines, and other beautiful scenery, as if in a fairyland. Visit Blue Moon Valley, nestled in the towering mountains of Lijiang, is an impossibly turquoise river originated from the melting snow of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. On a clear day, water in the Blue Moon Valley presents charming azure, and the valley is crescent-shaped, which looks like a blue moon inlaid at the foot of a Jade Dragon from a distance. Continue to visit Lijiang Ancient Town, is a national historical and cultural city, was built in the late Song Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasty (around late 13th century AD) which still maintains the appearance of the ancient town hundreds of years ago. Day 07: Lijiang (Bullet Train) Kuming

After a full delicious breakfast. Enjoy the beautiful sightseeing on the Bullet Train return to Kunming. Visit Stone Forest, is one of the most spectacular karst landscapesand also one of the the must-see attractions in Kunming. This is a place with massive natural rocks protruding from the ground. It is a great place to admire nature. This UNESCO-listed natural landmark in Yunnan is known for the majestic and rugged landscape of various-shaped limestone pillars and the unique Yi ethnic culture. Day 08: Kunming - Lhasa, Tibet

Wake up late. Take a quick visit the landmark Jinma and Biji Archways in Kunming, one of the oldest wooden structures in the city. Day 09: Lhasa

Kickstart your day with a lovely breakfast. Today visit the Potala Palace, is definitely one of the most mesmerizing experiences in Tibet, because of the unique structure, murals and exquisite Tangkas,grand golden tomb stupas of Dalai Lamas. As the most iconic architecture and top UNESCO World Heritage Site in Tibet. Potala Palace (3750m) overlooks the holy Lhasa City, with its majestic presence on the tip of Red Hill, which has a history of more than 1,300 years and integrates the architectural styles of Tibet, Tang Dynasty, Nepal and India. The Jokhang temple is one of the most important religious sites in Tibet since its houses the statue from the time when Shakyamuni Buddha lived. Day 10: Lhasa - Shigatse

Morning enjoy the sightseeing on the drive from Lhasa through snaking mountain roads to reach the Yamdrok Yumtso lake, is one of the four largest holy lakes in Tibet, besides Nam Tso Lake and Lake Manasarovar. Nestled among the flanks of the dull gray and green mountains, sacred Lake Yamdrok glows with various colors, like turquoise, when the sun is shining. Visit Pelkor Chode Monastery, the Complex of Tibetan Buddhism, Architecture, and Art, is undoubtedly one of the best and most striking monasteries in Tibet. (B/L/D)

Day 11: Shigatse - Lhasa

After a full breakfast. Visit the splendid Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, was founded in 1447 by the 1st Dalai Lama Gedun Drupa, which is the largest monastery in Shigatse and one of the six major monasteries of the Gelug School of Tibetan Buddhism. Return to Lhasa. (B/L/D)

Day 12: Lhasa

Today, visit Norbulingka, is called the Summer Palace of Dalai Lama. As the world’s highest, largest, and best-preserved ancient artificial horticultural garden. Visit the historic Buddhist temple Sera Monastery, As one of the great three Gelupga monasteries in Lhasa, Sera Monastery is a must visit for Tibet tour. (B/L/D)

Day 13: Lhasa - Xian

Fly to Xian. In the evening, enjoy your great and fun times at The Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City, is a 1,500m pedestrian street. It is line with buildings featuring Tang Dynasty (618 – 907) architecture and sculptures telling Tang stories. In addition, you can enjoy street performances, a variety of food and shopping here. The best time to come here is at night after the lights are lit up and people start to gather to have fun. (B/D)

Day 14: Xian - Los Angeles
