The old quarter, built around the ruins of an ancient citadel, has narrow, winding streets and crowded buildings. Begin your journey with a visit Ankara Castle. Later, pay a visit to Anıtkabir, the Mausoleum of Ataturk. Inaugurated in 1953, it is dedicated to the founder of Modern Turkey.
Continue driving to Cappadocia, is also known as the “Land of Beautiful Horses,” so you should explore the landscape by horse as well as by hot air balloon. On the way, make the first stop in Eskisehir, a vibrant city known for its Ottoman-era buildings and lively cultural scene. (B/D)
